Chayton Young is the wheelman of the No. 48 Northeast Limited Sportsman Modified for CDY Racing, currently entering his third season in the division-which means he's past the “rookie mistakes," but still learning something new almost every lap.
Racing under the @cdyracing banner, Chayton continues to build experience in one of the region's most competitive classes. Known for his determination, steady improvement, and refusal to lift when the racing gets tight, he approaches each season with the same goals: get faster, finish stronger, and bring the car home in one piece (preferably).
Now in his third year behind the wheel of a Limited Sportsman Modified, Chayton has learned that setup sheets are important, track conditions change constantly, and nothing tests patience quite like a caution with five laps to go. He focuses on racing smart, adapting quickly, and making every lap count-whether he's chasing positions or just surviving a wild feature.
CDY Racing is built on teamwork, dedication, and long nights in the shop, and Chayton fits right into that culture. When he's not strapped into the seat, he's helping turn wrenches, reviewing race footage, or figuring out what definitely worked last week-and what definitely didn't.
